This annual contest started in the early 2000’s meant to teach young men the art of Public Speaking. Young men are given the choice to select their own historical speech or be assigned a speech by the Concerned Christian Men. They have several months to memorize a 3-6 minute speech. We divide the young men by age groups, 4th graders to 7th graders and 8th graders to high schoolers. The young men are judged based upon their memorization of the speech, their ability to enunciate the speech, and their ability to communicate effectively and engage the audience with their speeches. Winners of the contest receive cash awards.
